DC VegFest is a celebration of vegetables, good nutrition and health. Featured at this free event are cooking demonstrations as well as presentations from renowned authors and celebrities. Several restaurants set up food booths, and a beer garden welcomes anyone who is of age. Many nonprofits are represented at this event, and live music adds to the festive vibe. The festival also features a kids’ activity area offering special events and demonstrations for the young’uns and a shaded Barking Lot for dogs.
